Nia Elise is a singer, songwriter, and performer whose sound is rooted in gospel and hip hop and flows seamlessly into soul and R&B. She’s a vocal powerhouse with a bold stage presence that commands attention from the moment she steps on stage. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and primarily raised by her grandmother, Nia discovered her voice in the church choir, holding down the alto section. Now based in Tucson, she has sold out the city’s premier jazz venue, The Century Room, with a full-band Anita Baker tribute and has performed at major community events such as the Tucson Festival of Books, on of the country’s largest book festivals. Her music has reached audiences far beyond Arizona with radio spins in North Carolina, Illinois, and New York. From leading a 5-piece band with her originals to curating tribute performances, Nia does it all and makes it look easy.
